| A captivating and effective structure built by Michael Kinder & Sons, Inc. of Fort Wayne, Indiana has been honored by Varco Pruden Buildings, one of the nation’s largest providers of metal building systems.
Michael Kinder & Sons at 5206 Decatur Road has been named to VP Building’s 2010 Hall of Fame for the Northeast Indiana Innovation Park – Emerging Growth Center located in the Northeast Indiana Innovation Park in Fort Wayne, IN. The 32,000 square foot high tech, high touch offices and services building was completed in 2009.
The highly competitive Hall of Fame Awards are presented annually to the independent Authorized VP Builders whose work reflects outstanding integration of building system, products, architectural appearance, end use, and design. Varco Pruden has a network of more than 1,000 builders in the United States and Canada.
This project consisted of a 32,000SF state of the art office and conference services facility on the Innovation Park adjacent to IPFW and Ivy Tech’s North Campus. MKS was selected as the Design/Build contractor. Design Collaborative provided architectural design as well as mechanical and electrical engineering on the project. One Eleven Design provided interior design services, furniture, and furnishings. The project team worked closely with the owner to assure the best possible solution for the owner’s needs. This facility features larger spaces for emerging businesses that have demands in excess of 2,000 sq ft. It is a facility for companies and ventures that are in a position where they want more independence but want to take advantage of the amenities, infrastructure, and association with the Innovation Center and the Park and the educational partnerships and resources adjacent to the campus.
The Hall of Fame Awards are presented for a range of industrial, commercial, retail, and municipal projects.
